Manchester Diggers was built around a simple idea: plant hire done properly. One number, two people who know their equipment inside out, and a service built to keep your job moving, for building contractors and homeowners alike.
50 Years of Equipment Experience Between Two People
Manchester Diggers is owned and run by Mark and Mateusz. Between them, they have 50 years of hands-on experience with plant equipment. Not managing hire companies from a desk, but working with, operating, and maintaining the machines themselves.
That experience matters when you call. If you're unsure which excavator size suits your access, or what breaker attachment you need for the material you're cutting through, you're not going to get a guess. You'll get a straight answer from someone who has used the equipment and knows what it does on site.
Plant hire is a practical business. The people you speak to should be practical people. Mark and Mateusz built Manchester Diggers on that basis.
How We Operate
One Point of Contact
When you call Manchester Diggers, you reach Mark or Mateusz directly. No call centres, no rerouting, no explaining your job twice to someone who wasn't there for the first conversation. One number, one of two people, every time.
Same-Day Hire
We run a same-day hire service from our Manchester depot. Call us in the morning and, subject to availability, we can have equipment on your site the same day. When a job demands it, we move fast.
Delivery Available, or Depot Collection
We deliver to your site and collect when the hire period ends — no trailer or van to arrange yourself. Delivery is charged separately by location, or you can collect from our Manchester depot to save the cost. Trailers also available to hire alongside.
No Large Deposit
We keep the booking process straightforward. No large sums of money tied up upfront, no complicated terms before you can get a machine on site.
Available 24/7, Including Weekends
Sites don't stop at five o'clock, and neither do we. We take bookings and answer calls around the clock, seven days a week, including weekend hire for jobs that need to keep going.
Operator-Free Hire
Our plant is hired for you to operate yourself. You don't need to engage a separate plant operator, which keeps your costs straightforward and gives you control over your own site schedule.
A Fleet Built for Real Site Work
The Manchester Diggers fleet covers the full range of small and medium plant: three Takeuchi excavators from 1.1 to 2.5 tonnes, Genie material hoists up to 7.94m working height, wheeled and tracked dumpers, Belle wacker plates, Prodem hydraulic breakers, Acrow props, Strongboy wall supports, and Altrad Belle cement mixers.
Every machine is maintained and checked before each hire. What arrives on your site is ready to work.
The excavator range deserves a specific mention. Three machines — the TB210R micro at 1.1t, the TB217R mini at 1.68t, and the TB225 at 2.5t — means you hire the right size for the job and the access, not whatever happens to be available.
